Concrobium Mold Control
GREAT NEW PRODUCT
C oncrobium eliminates and prevents mold problems in vulnerable areas such as basements, bathrooms, kitchens, closets, laundry rooms and around windows - anywhere mold is apparent or suspected. The breakthrough solution can also be used to control mold in buildings, boats, cars, RVs - wherever mold takes hold.
Application is easy. Simply apply Concrobium onto the surface, wipe off any excess and allow to dry. Because Concrobium contains no bleaches, peroxides or ammonias, it can be used on virtually any surface. And Concrobium has no odour, meaning you don't have to open windows or vacate the area after using the product.
Mold and fungal growth can damage possessions and discolour the walls, floors and ceilings in a home or building. In extreme cases, it can compromise the structural integrity of the building as it eats away at wood and drywall, causing it to disintegrate.
Remediation costs to correct mold problems are significant and growing. According to U.S. insurance industry statistics, the insurance industry paid out $3 billion in mold-related claims in 2002, up from $1.3 billion in 2001.
Canada has not been immune. Ten thousand mold related lawsuits are now in the courts in Canada.
Given the losses the insurance industry has experienced with mold, there now exists a standard mold, mildew and fungi exclusion in property and commercial liability policies. As a result, homeowners and commercial property owners are often left to address mold problems at their own expense.
Concrobium offers an additional level of protection against mold growth by leaving surfaces with an invisible yet durable antimicrobial coating that continually prevents fungal and mold spores from attaching and colonizing on the surface. Whether using Concrobium to clean and disinfect surfaces or pretreating vulnerable areas, this patented encapsulating action helps to ensure that harmful mold will not grow back.
For spot applications on surfaces, use Concrobium's 946 mL spray bottle or 4L jug as follows:
- Do not dilute.
- Apply product on area until evenly wet. Concrobium must come in direct contact with mold to be effective.
- Allow to dry completely.
- Clean any remaining stains and residue with a Concrobium-dampened cloth.
Do not rinse. Do not use bleach-based cleaners as they may reduce product effectiveness.
If surface is subsequently painted or coated with another substance, reapply Concrobium to ensure protection against mold.
Consult the CMHC guidelines for further information on how to treat small to moderate mold growth problems.
Do-it-yourselfers can also choose to apply Concrobium using a fogging machine, which mists the product into fine droplets to allow quick, even coating of larger areas. Fogging is also recommended for mold prevention in vulnerable household locations, and to reach inaccessible areas where you suspect mold, such as in attics or under flooring.
For larger mold issues (more than 3m2), it is recommended that you consider a professional remediation company that, using Concrobium, can deliver comprehensive services to ensure successful mold abatement and long-term prevention.
