Use Duratec Polyester Clear High Gloss Additive to repair clear or pigmented gelcoated FRP parts. The end result is a low porosity, smooth, high gloss, hard surface that is similar to the original gelcoat surface. Duratec Polyester Clear High Gloss Additive also upgrades tooling gelcoats.Used correctly, the additive will reduce subsurface porosity and orange peel, increase impact resistance, improve gloss retention and heat distortion temperatures. Just blend and mix equal parts of Duratec Polyester Clear High Gloss Additive and the gelcoat and catalyze at 2% with MEKP catalyst. Thin 5-15% if necessary to a desired spray viscosity with MEK solvent or a fast acrylic lacquer thinner.
